Fred. Olsen Travel acquires Saville Travel in Wimborne Minster, Dorset

Fred. Olsen Travel is continuing with its ambitious growth plans with the acquisition of Saville Travel in Wimborne Minster, Dorset. Saville Travel is the company’s 24th retail shop and joins 13 other shops across the south coast and a further 10 shops in East Anglia.

Saville Travel has been operating in Wimborne for the last 44 years and, during this time, has built up a loyal customer-base. The acquisition process has been ongoing since last year with owner Ron Stanley who sadly passed away in November. Over the following months, Fred. Olsen Travel supported Ron’s daughter Margareta through probate to ensure that the acquisition process was completed as quickly and easily as possible for Ron’s family, employees and customers.

Following the acquisition, the branch will continue to operate under the Saville Travel brand but will now benefit from Fred. Olsen Travel’s marketing support which will enhance the business. Both members of staff have transferred across with the business and taken on new roles. Mandy Legg, who has been with Saville Travel for 32 years, has been promoted to branch manager, while Charlotte Greening, who has been with Saville Travel for 26 years, has been promoted to assistant manager.
