The award celebrates Fred. Olsen's unwavering commitment to providing a robust employee apprenticeship programme, which has made a significant contribution to the company's success. Through regular opportunities across multiple departments, including HR, marketing, travel, customer service, and business administration, employees gather to exchange knowledge and expand their professional networks.

Geminesse Curtis, Fred Olsen's Early Careers Business Partner, along with dedicated managers and apprentices, have played instrumental roles in nurturing talent and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Managing Director of Fred. Olsen Travel Steve Williams expressed his pride, stating, "This accolade reflects the dedication of our team, including our excellent apprentices, who work diligently to advance their qualifications while contributing to their respective departments."

Laura Lamb, a Travel Consultant at Felixstowe, recently completed her Level 3 Travel Consultant apprenticeship with Fred. Olsen Travel. Reflecting on her experience, Laura shared, "My apprenticeship journey was fantastic. The support provided by Fred. Olsen Travel allowed me to develop my skills while balancing my coursework effectively."

In line with its commitment to nurturing talent, Fred. Olsen Travel recently launched the Travel Academy. This innovative initiative aims to introduce newcomers to the dynamic world of retail travel by providing tailored training programmes. Designed for individuals with transferable skills from retail, customer service, and sales backgrounds, the Academy offers comprehensive training covering topics such as legislation, sustainability, and industry insights.

Participants in the Travel Academy can expect immersive learning experiences, including weekly training sessions, engaging webinars, and hands-on opportunities to explore cruise ships and attend industry conferences. Fred. Olsen Travel offers Travel Consultant apprenticeships, providing learners with the opportunity to earn while they learn and work towards a recognised qualification equivalent to A levels.
