Paul Hardwick, Fred. Olsen Travel’s Head of Commercial, was recently honoured with an award for Cruise Advocate of Year. The accolade was handed out during the annual CLIA Forum on 18th December 2019 and was just one of many prizes that made up the 2019 CLIA UK & Ireland Cruise Excellence Awards.
The prestigious ceremony highlights those travel agents and agencies in the cruise industry that have gone above beyond in their dedication to the world of cruising. Last year saw the UK and Ireland market grow to the point where more than two million cruises were taken, and the individuals and companies honoured by CLIA played a key role in this growth.
After triumphing over nominees representing Travel 2, Hays Travel, Iglu, The Travel Network Group and Click & Go, Paul was delighted to have fended off such strong opposition. “I was really pleased to win it,” he said. “Hopefully, it just adds to the fact that FOT is the place to book your cruises.”
